Letter to Editor: I Do Not Approve of Caustic Flyers

September 7, 2023 by Letter to Editor

Share

Bob Willey is my opponent for the Easton Town Council President race. HE IS NOT MY ENEMY.  I am aware of the caustic flyers going to people’s homes.  I do not approve of this type of rhetoric.

Al Silverstein
Candidate for Easton Town Council President

But you don’t say that you and/or your campaign are not behind the dissemination of the flyers. Interesting.

Regarding the disparaging flyers being sent to Easton households, Mr. Silverstein says above “I do not approve of this type of rhetoric”. Yet the first inkling of deviation from Easton’s typically congenial and respectful political races was the Silverstein SPY letter of 8-23-23 titled “You Should Be Angry Too”. And indeed several points in Mr. Silverstein’s SPY letter are repeated verbatim in the caustic flyers being sent around town. Which Mr. Silverstein, per above does not approve of. Kinda confusing, huh? Not really.
