Carpe Diem Arts is pleased to join forces again with the Talbot County Senior Center to present the popular free lunch-time concert series at Brookletts Place in Easton (400 Brookletts Ave.)
Performances are scheduled on the Second Tuesdays of the month through May 2023. Mark your calendars for a stellar winter and spring line-up. (See list below.)
The February 13 lunchtime concert will feature the acclaimed duo of Linda Harris and David Cole.
LINDA HARRIS decided to start singing, performing and songwriting after a 33-year career in real estate. Since 2018, she has been on an extraordinary journey performing in Washington D.C., Maryland and Virginia at jazz clubs and local venues. She has also performed in New Orleans, Florida and New York; as well as abroad in France, Croatia, Sweden, Panama and Italy. Linda had the great honor to collaborate with Dave Marsh, bassist, on her first original tune “Shaking Off the Dust” in 2018; and now with Felipe Paccagnella, pianist, in the writing and video production of 9 original titles and many more to come!
Performing with Linda Harris is DAVID COLE, a guitarist who began playing at a young age. He was recruited to play with R&B entertainer Little Royal, and honed his skills performing in the Bobby Felder and Calvin Jones Big Bands. He has also performed with Roberta Flack, Archie Bell, The Clovers, The Orioles, Percy Sledge, The Jewels, and R&B balladeers The Delphonics. In 2006 he co-founded the group Main Street Blues to further develop and showcase his skills as a vocalist, guitarist and engaging entertainment/front man to elevate and pay tribute to the Blues contribution to Contemporary music. In February 2015 Main Street Blues successfully headlined The 1st International Blues Festival in Paraguay while also conducting a series of Master Classes relating “The History of the Blues and The Civil Rights Movement.” Urban Blues is his first CD release as a featured performer.
