Local Angle: War Dance Documentary on Tonight

April 30, 2020 by Spy Desk

Share
Watch the Oscar-nominated documentary film, War Dance, for free anytime today. Join the directors,  along with a special guest, this evening April 30th at 8pm for a live Q&A. Made possible, in part,  by the Dock Street Foundation, this film draws attention to the plight of children from Northern Uganda, kidnapped by Joseph Kony of the Lord’s Resistance Army. It presents the gruesome reality faced by the Acholi tribe,  while also showing the resilience of the human spirit.
The movie is directed by Sean and Andrea Fine. Sean’s parents, Paul and Holly Fine, are area residents who have been major contributors to the arts in Talbot County,  as well as being Emmy-award winning television producers.
Additional information on how to stream the movie and join the Q&A, can be found here.
