Starting with the new crabbing season beginning on April 1, 2014, waterfront property owners, lessees and tenants must register recreational crab pots with the DNR.
The registration is free, and will assist the state in assessing the crab harvest. The limit is two pots per property.
For more information on the new regulations, see PropTalk’s recent article here, and the DNR’s recreational crabbing page here.

This is just ridiculous. Another needless detail to take care of for no demonstrable return. This is a regulation simply to give worthless government functionaries something to do.
