Local farmers are growing produce and raising livestock year round. And a new organization has decided to sell this wonderful local field-to-table products being created in our community 52 weeks a year.
Homefarm CSA will soon be providing locally farmed poultry, meats, dairy, produce and breads throughout the winter months. Chesapeake Greenhouses will provide wonderful hydroponic lettuces, herbs & greens. Blades Orchard will provide local fruit & honey. Priapi Gardens will provide organic produce all winter. Black Bottom Farm will be selling humanely raised beef & pork, as well as free-range soy-free eggs. Magnolia Bread Company will be offering field-to-table artisan breads and pastries utilizing grains grown on their land, as well as Mason jar salads, soups, sweets and granola. Eve’s Cheese will be selling their excellent cheeses, Nice Farms Creamery, LLC will have whole milk, yogurt and butter. Turtleboy Farm will provide field greens.
There will be several options from which to order a small, medium and large portion. Each portion will include dairy, soup or salad, meat, bread and produce.
In addition, a la cart items available at each delivery location.Plans are in the works to set up Saturday delivery sites in St. Michaels (site to be determined) , Smyrna (Market Street Plaza), Middletown (Fromage) and Chestertown (Eve’s Cheese Office on Park Row).
The CSA website is under development and should be up and running by this Sunday.
The operation will start in St. Michaels and Middletown on October 20. Smyrna on November 3. Chestertown will be added in early January.

Do we need to sign up ahead of time or just watch for the St. Michael’s location to be announced and go on Saturday, October 20. If we do need to sign up ahead of time, who do we contact? Thank you.
