This Veterans Day, join us for an inspiring evening with Meg Daley Olmert, a world-renowned expert on the neurobiology of the human-animal bond. On Thursday, November 2nd, at 5:30 pm, Olmert will speak about the profound therapeutic effects of human-animal relationships.
Meg Daley Olmert is an accomplished subject expert, author, and lecturer, recognized for her groundbreaking book, Made for Each Other: The Biology of the Human-Animal Bond, published in 2009. This revolutionary book traces the evolution of the ancient bond between humans and animals, delving into the emerging neuroscience that underlies this profound interspecies connection. With her expertise in the therapeutic effects of the human-animal bond, Olmert has been a trailblazer in the field, and her two TEDx talks have captivated the hearts and minds of tens of thousands.

In addition to her remarkable contributions to the field, Meg Daley Olmert proudly serves as the Science Advisor and board member of The Comfort Dog Program of Northern Uganda. She was also a co-creator of Warrior Canine Connection’s Mission-Based Trauma Recovery Program at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. Additionally, she will be featured in the upcoming documentary, By My Side, which highlights the impact of service dogs on veterans with trauma. The documentary has been selected for the CFF Virtual Doc program.
