Get out on the Miles River aboard one of the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum’s wooden sailing or rowing skiffs on Friday, September 19 and Saturday, September 20 during its Public Sailing Days event. Two-hour sessions are offered on Friday between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Built in the museum’s Apprentice for a Day public boatbuilding program, the boats range in size and are built for one to two people. Drop-in participation is available, with reservations encouraged as small craft are limited. The cost is $10 per person, per two-hour session, plus museum admission for non-CBMM members.
