Trappe – On May 18, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 29000 block of Farms Lane for a report of a loud party with suspected underage drinking. Upon arrival, Deputies observed over thirty persons at the residence with a large quantity of alcoholic beverages in plain sight. A seventeen year old female occupant of the residence was located and it was determined no one at the residence was of legal drinking age. The parents of the teenagers were called and all occupants were picked up by a responsible adult. The seventeen year old was referred to juvenile services and charged with possession of alcohol while under 21 and furnishing alcohol to persons under 21 for consumption. The juvenile was released to a responsible adult after her parents were found to be out of the area.
Easton – On May 23, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office, while transporting a prisoner to the Talbot County Detention Center, began a foot chase with the suspect who attempted to avoid detention. The prisoner, David Codell Yeatman, 20 of Cambridge, MD was pursued with the assistance of Easton Police Department and the Maryland State Police. Yeatman was located a short distance from the Detention Center and taken back into custody without further incident. In addition to the original warrant, Yeatman was charged with escape and resisting arrest. Yeatman was ordered held in the Talbot County Detention Center without bond.
Easton – On May 24, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office were called to the 10000 block of Copperville Road for an assault in progress. Upon arrival Deputies located Martin Schnoor with injuries to his face and head. Schnoor advised he was beaten with a wooden object by a male at his rental property. Deputies were able to locate the suspect, Maghnum Travis Hastings, 22 of Easton, MD. Hastings gave conflicting accounts of the incident and was placed under arrest and charged with aggravated assault. Hastings was processed and taken before a District Court Commissioner who ordered him held on a $1,600.00 bond. Schnoor was transported to Easton Memorial Hospital and treated for his injuries.
