Watercolor by Kevin Garber

The classes will meet from 9:30 a.m. until noon on Sept. 26, Oct. 3, 10 and 17 at the Community Center, 103 Railroad Avenue, St. Michaels.

Art teacher Joan Cranor will lead the class, which will advance the painter into incorporating different techniques such as using sale scratching, resists, reflections and shadows into watercolor paintings.

Joan also will emphasize what makes a good painting, balance of colors, shapes, center of interest and development of brushstrokes, washes and glazes.

For more information or to register for the class, please visit the League’s website,  or call Valerie Sunderland at 410-598-5548.
