St. Michaels Board of Zoning Appeals Member Vacancy

The Commissioners of St. Michaels are seeking full-time residents of the Town of St. Michaels to fill a full-time vacant position on the St. Michaels Board of Zoning Appeals. The appointee will serve a key role in implementing the zoning and building regulations of the town, including the review of applications for variances to such and the review of special exceptions to land uses that are not permitted outright. Duties may also include review of appeals relating to decisions made by other boards, committees, or staff. Term is for three years.

Duties, responsibilities, and requirements for this board are set forth in Chapter 98-6 of the Town Code and Chapter 340-13 of the Town Code, which can be accessed on the Town’s website at www.stmichaelsmd.gov. A current resume and letter of interest should include qualifications for the position and an indication of why the applicant wishes to serve. This should be submitted via e-mail, regular mail, or hand delivered for receipt no later than noon on June 30, 2023:
