St. Patrick’s Concert by the Mid-Shore Community Band

The Mid-Shore Community Band Trombones perform during the annual St Patricks Concert.

The Mid-Shore Community Band is gearing up for its annual St. Patrick’s concert. This year, the band will be performing two separate concerts.  The first concert will be held Sunday March 5, 2017 at 4pm at Christ Church in Cambridge, MD. This concert will be under the direction of John Banghart. The second concert is to be held on Tuesday March 14 at 7pm at the Easton Elks Lodge #1622, 502 Dutchmans Lane in Easton, MD.  This concert will be directed by EJ Oesterle. Always a crowd favorite, the band has been preparing pieces sure to please listeners young and old. This year, the concert will include your favorite Celtic tunes, including Three Celtic Dances, Be Thou My Vision, and the ever-moving Irish Tune from County Derry. Also included in this year’s program is the beautiful Lark in the Clear Air, featuring flute soloist Sally Montgomery. Several new members have joined the band and the MSCB is excited to bring a bold new sound to one of the community’s favorite concerts. This concert is free and open to the public. Donations are graciously accepted. Join us on March 5th and kick off the St. Patrick’s holiday.
