Editor’s note: Over the last five weeks, the Talbot Spy has been conducting individual “year in review” interviews with members of the Talbot County Council to discuss the highlights and disappointments in 2015 as well as significant challenges for 2016. We continue the series with Councilmember Laura Price.
While there was some attempt to talk to Laura Price about the calendar year 2015, it was clear from the onset of our interview that she was very much focused on the future. In particular, Councilmember Price spent most of our time together talking about the 2015 Comprehensive Plan, and what needs to take place for this document to be approved by the Talbot County. The other highlights her growing anxiety about potentially severe budget deficits in the County’s current fiscal year and the long term impact of having limited tax and fee revenue coming in and higher expense lines with expenditures.
