Hard to believe this beautiful farm is now the north part of Easton, Maryland! St. Aubins was built by Nicholas Hammond in 1803! The two smaller houses bottom right are on North Washington Street in the area across from 7-Eleven! Nicholas Hammond was a lawyer and farmer who was the first person to head Easton’s town commissioners and was also the President of the shore’s first Bank! Easton’s professional photographer H. Robins Hollyday was born in this house in 1898 when his family owned the home. There is a Hollyday Street in the St. Aubins sub division. 1930’s Photo from the Talbot Historical Society’s H. Robins Hollyday Collection. Facts: “ Easton Album” by Norman Harrington 1986.
