Project Rewind-Talbot County: Easton Airport Easton, Md. was built by the federal government during World War II as an emergency landing field between Dover and Andrews air bases! At the end of the war the town of Easton and Talbot County purchased it from the federal government for $1.00 and they became the joint owners of the airport. They then leased it to Cities Service Oil Company who built this administration building, a large hangar and tower. Facts: “Easton Album” by Norman Harrington 1986. Does anyone remember if this building was demolished or just incorporated into the present airport?
