Talbot Historical Society Project Rewind: Keep Trucking in Preston

The Preston Trucking Company was founded in 1932 in nearby Preston, Maryland in Caroline County. Preston Trucking Company’s first fleet had 151 trucks! After 67 years the business closed in 1999. This Talbot Historical Society Laird Wise Collection 1974 photo was taken of the Preston Trucking Company’s tire repair area at their headquarters in Preston. Maybe you knew someone who worked at the Preston Trucking Company?

    I remember working with the Prestons while I was President of a 30 state trucking corporation. They were congenial and most pleasant persons. Preston handled all of the shipments to and from the Eastern shore through our Baltimore terminal.
