Enjoy this circa 1930 Talbot Historical Society H. Robins Hollyday photo of a fire engine on Harrison St. ! The Bullitt House in the background is now the home of the Mid-Shore Community Foundation. The Federal style Bullitt House on the corner of Dover & Harrison Streets was built in 1801 by lawyer Thomas Bullitt. Mr. Bullitt built the small building in the back as his law office and “The Talbot Spy” office is there now. Nice this home is presently so beautifully cared for. Can you history buffs guess why that fire engine is there?
