There is more to this idyllic dairy farm scene than appears! Maryland Governor William Preston Lane, Jr. was responsible for 1947 legislation authorizing the building of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and with that project came a $175 million plus bridge-highway bond package. In 1953 this beautiful Planson family farm near Chapel Road Easton, Maryland was divided forever by the new Route 50 dual highway headed to Ocean City, Maryland! Facts: “ Easton Album” 1986. For some reason I think it’s spelled Plansoen Farm.
