THE GRANDSONS!
Swing/Jazz/R&B Concert

Sunday, September 25, 5:00 pm

Carpe Diem–Music in the Gallery Concert Series
5592 Poplar Lane
Royal Oak, MD 21662
(near the Bellevue landing of the Oxford-Bellevue Ferry)

grandsonsA fan aptly described The Grandsons’ exuberant sound as “American music in a blender with the lid off.” An eclectic mix of New Orleans rhythm and blues, classic swing, rockabilly, and country two-steps. A few standards you are likely to hear are Ricky Nelson’s Traveling Man, Cole Porter’s Don’t Fence Me In, and Johnny Cash’s Ring of Fire. Featuring multi-instrumentalists Alan MacEwen, Chris Watling, Matt Sedgely and Moe Nelson — on guitar, bass, mandolin, ukulele, sax and horns, percussion.

“Will delight anyone who enjoys vintage pop, country, rock, jazz and R&B sounds…”
WASHINGTON POST

One-hour concert followed by wine and cheese reception with the artists.

Also…. a chance to see Ulrika Leander’s gorgeous tapestries. One of the most beautiful concert venues on the planet.
