Professor Dale Glenwood Green will be the guest speaker for the Brown Bag Lunch Monday February 2, 2015 at the St. Michaels Branch of the Talbot County Free Library at noon.
Black history month is an important part of American and world history; while the spotlight often shines on individuals, The Hill Community is a reflection on faith, family, finance, friendship and freedom all of which gave rise to this significant extant community.
Green is the Chair of the Historic Preservation Program and an Assistant Professor of Architecture in the School of Architecture + Planning at Morgan State University. He was honored as the recipient of two 2012 Maryland Preservation Awards (the Education and Community Engagement award and the Preservation Partnerships for Project Excellence award).
The Friends of the Library are sponsors of the speaker series and everyone is invited to bring their lunch or a snack and enjoy coffee and dessert provided by the library.
All library programs are free and open to the public. For more information you can check the library website at www.tcfl.org or call (410) 745-5877.
