The Mid-Shore Community Band is gearing up for its 7th annual St. Patrick’s Concert to be held at the Easton Elks Lodge #1622, 502 Dutchmans Lane in Easton, MD. The concert will take place on March 13, 2016 at 4:00pm in the ballroom of the Elks Lodge. Always a crowd favorite, the band has been preparing pieces sure to please listeners young and old. The MSCB is now under the interim direction of John Banghart. John has been a dedicated tuba player with the Mid-Shore Community Band since it began in 2009 and a former band director himself. This year, the concert will include your favorite Celtic tunes, including Glengarry Way, I’m Shipping Up to Boston from the popular Dropkick Murphys, and the Wearing of the Green. Also included in this year’s program is the moving Solas Ane by Samuel Hazo. Several new members have joined the band and the MSCB is excited to bring a bold new sound to one of the community’s favorite concerts.
This concert is free and open to the public. Donations are graciously accepted. Join us on March 13th and kick off the St. Patrick’s holiday.
