Tilghman Watermen’s Museum Presents “Year on the Water” With Marc Castelli

February 23, 2022 by Tilghman Watermen’s Museum

Share

On Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 1:30 PM the Tilghman Watermen’s Museum will host a presentation by Marc Castelli at the Tilghman Island Volunteer Fire Hall. Marc has spent the last twenty-five years working side by side with local watermen. More than an award-winning artist, Marc is an advocate for watermen. He spends at least 100 days of the year crabbing, clamming, oystering and fishing with them. Through slide lectures, writing papers about watermen’s issues, and testifying at Senate and House hearings that directly bear on the watermen, his art is seen and his voice is heard. He recently became “Artist in Residence” at the Tilghman Watermen’s Museum and is creating art for interpretive signs for new outdoor exhibits opening in 2022. A “Year on the Water” will give you a new appreciation for daily life on the water. Don’t miss this fabulous event.

Admission is free. Refreshments will follow. For more information contact the museum via email at [email protected] or call 410-886-2930. Tilghman Watermen’s Museum celebrates, documents, preserves and shares the history, traditions, heritage, and culture of Tilghman Island.
