Two new practitioners have joined UM Shore Regional Health’s Center for Integrative Medicine on Dutchman’s Lane, Bill Roth, senior director for Shore Comprehensive Rehabilitation Care, has announced.
Licensed massage therapist Stephanie Blades, of Easton, has been a nurse for 16 years and a massage therapist for two years. Blades offers prenatal massage as well as general massage at the Center for Integrative Medicine. She anticipates completing more specialized certification courses to expand her massage modalities.
“I believe that each of us has the inward power to heal outward ailments, and that often, manifestations of injury, disease, and unease in life are shown through our aches and pains,” Blades says. “I take great pride in listening to what my clients tell me but also to the feedback that their bodies give me. I then fine-tune the massage to meet those needs.”
Clinical therapist Pam Schulte of Cambridge has joined the Center to offer individual and family counseling services. Schulte, who holds MSW and LCSW-C credentials, has been in private practice since 2003 at Sailwinds Family Center, LLC in Cambridge, providing outpatient clinical treatment to children, families and adults, and also consultation and training to community agencies and the Circuit Court Systems on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.
Schulte’s previous experience includes four years as an adjunct professor in Salisbury University’s Department of Social Work and several positions involving child welfare education program development; advocacy; clinical assessment, supervision and consultation. She also has served as an expert witness in court cases involving abuse.
“To me, it is a privilege to work with clients to help them heal, manage a difficult circumstance or condition, or solve a personal or family problem. I use varied strategies and techniques to help clients identify and address problematic issues in their lives.”
Information regarding appointment scheduling and all massage, counseling, acupuncture and Reiki services offered by the Center for Integrative Medicine may be obtained by calling 410-770-9400.
