University of Maryland Shore Regional Health recently announced that Juliana Hospodor, MBA, MT (HHS), has joined the organization as the Regional Director of Laboratory Services.
A certified medical technologist, Hospodor oversees laboratory services at UM Shore Medical Centers at Chestertown, Dorchester and Easton, and nine offsite laboratory facilities throughout the five-county region served by UM Shore Regional Health, including UM Shore Emergency Center at Queenstown, UM Shore Medical Pavilion at Queenstown and various diagnostic locations.
Hospodor has more than 25 years of experience, seven of which were spent in laboratory directorial positions in both large and small hospital settings, and in the area of quality improvement. Most recently, she served as director of Outreach Operations for UMass Memorial Medical Center and the director of quality assurance for Drug Scan, Incorporated, in Horsham, Pennsylvania.
“We are thrilled to have someone with Ms. Hospodor’s level of experience join the laboratory team at University of Maryland Shore Regional Health,” comments Robert Frank, regional senior vice president of operations. “Her leadership skills will be a tremendous asset during this era of health care when convenient access to outpatient services is essential for maintaining one’s health and well-being.”
