Read to a Dog at the Library
On Monday, July 7, from 2:00 – 3:30 p.m., in the Easton branch of the Talbot County Free Library, children will have the opportunity to read from their favorite book to Latte, a certified therapy dog. Inevitably, both children and dog find this relaxing and rewarding. All library programs are free and open to the public, but patrons are asked to pre-register for this program. Professional Magician to Perform at Library
On Thursday, July 10, at 2:00 p.m., in the Easton branch of the Talbot County Free Library, professional magician Joe Romano will put on a magic show entitled “Fizz, Boom, Read!” In a career that has featured appearances at Universal Studios and the Walt Disney Cruise Line, Romano most recently opened for First Lady Michele Obama at the NEA’s “Read Across America” celebration at the Library of Congress. This program is made possible by the Friends of the Library. All library programs are free and open to the public. Patrons are asked to pre-register for this program. St. Michaels Library to Screen Oscar-Winner
On Monday, July 7, at noon, the St. Michaels branch of the Talbot County Free Library will offer a free screening of the Disney flick, “Frozen.” Released last year, “Frozen” won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film of the Year and a second Oscar for Best Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures, Original Song. The film is rated PG. All library programs are free and open to the public. Patrons do not need to pre-register for this program.
