What’s coming up at the Talbot County Free Library in Easton and St. Michaels? At the Easton branch, there will be a spa day, a drawing class, a production of The Legend of King Arthur, and a screening of the Academy Award Winning Film “Up.”
At the St. Michaels branch, there will be a rocket launch program, screening of the film “The Pirate Fairy,” the continuation of the needlecraft program, and an ArtFest Evening Talk on the subject “A Different Perspective – Abstract Art.”
Spa Day for Ages 9-14 at Library
On Monday, August 4, from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., the Easton branch of the Talbot County Free Library will offer a “Spa Day” for ages 9-14 with lunch included! Activities will include dance, exercise, yoga, information on healthy nutrition and assembling lunch items, as well as face and nail care. Each participant will bring home a craft bag and a gift bag. Learn How to Draw Super Heroes at the Library
On Tuesday, August 5, at 2:00 p.m., in the Easton branch of the Talbot County Free Library, professional cartoonist Paul Merklein will teach a class on the art of drawing super heroes. This program, which is supported with funds from the Talbot County Arts Council, is designed for ages 8 and up. Paul Merklein’s cartoons have been syndicated to newspapers and magazines across the country. Easton Library to Stage: “The Legend of King Arthur”
On Thursday, August 7, at 10:30 a.m., in the Easton branch of the Talbot County Free Library, the Hampstead Stage Company will put on its two-actor production of “The Legend of King Arthur.” One of the largest educational touring companies in America, the Hampstead Stage Company performs more than two thousand shows annually. Their productions are interactive, engaging both children and adults from the audience. This program is made possible by a grant from the Talbot County Arts Council. Rocket Launch at St. Michaels Library
