Author Christopher Tilghman to Read from and Discuss His Eastern Shore Saga
Thursday, October 3, 6:30 p.m. Christopher Tilghman will read from the latest book— Thomas and Beal in the Midi—in his acclaimed Mason-Bayly family saga. The first two books in the series, Mason’s Retreat and The Right-Hand Shore were both New York Times Notable Books.

Saturday, October 5:
10:00 a.m. – noon: Science Fair
Nine high school students from different corners of the globe navigate rivalries, setbacks, and hormones on their quest to win the international science fair. Only one can be named “Best in Fair.”
1:00 – 2:30 p.m.: Conowingo Dam: Power on the Susquehanna
The dam’s unique story and place in Maryland history is told by Maryland Public Television in a one-hour documentary that recalls the drama and controversy that have shadowed the structure since its opening in 1928. A panel discussion will follow the screening of this film.
3:00 – 4:30 p.m.: Saving Sea Turtles: Preventing Extinction
A record-breaking sea turtle stranding on Cape Cod brings people from over 10 states and 21 institutions to save the creatures from sure death.

Two large rooms full at the library’s Easton branch, 100 W. Dover Street. All profits benefit both our Easton and St. Michaels libraries.
