US Navy Commodores Perform Saturday, August 27

The Avalon’s Summer Concert Series outdoors concludes Sat, Aug. 27, 7pm, with the US Navy Commodores.

US Navy Commodores

The Navy’s premier jazz ensemble, the Commodores, presents the finest in America’s truly original music. A specialty unit of the United States Navy Band in Washington, D.C., the group features 18 of the Navy’s top jazz and “big band” musicians. Under the leadership of Senior Chief Musician Philip M. Burlin, the Commodores combine the best of jazz, popular and patriotic music.

Streets are closed to traffic so that visitors can fill streets and sidewalks with lawn or camp chairs to enjoy the performances. The family-friendly concerts are free and open to the public.
Children are welcome and dancing is encouraged. (NO alcohol, please!)
