Maggie is right. Time to move that racist monument. So embarrassing to be known as the Maryland county that still has a Confederate monument on its courthouse grounds.
Conner Roney says
The confederate flag was a Christian symbol not a symbol of slavery

Maggie, thank you for your contribution.
To the members of the PTH group and their hangers-on:: Note that Ms. Rogers is not an outsider.

Maggie,

This message by Ms. Rogers, in my opinion, is a disgrace to all thinking and Educated Americans. Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it. This monument is half of the history of Talbot County. A statue is a reminder of events; it is either commemerative, honering and/or a cautionary message.
I want to encourage all thinking, enlightened people to call for UNITY and add to the history of our great county and our great nation!!! Keep the Monument and Complete the Actual History.

Interesting with all that is going on in the world today, shallow minded people are so hung up on an inanimate object that is not harming anyone except in the minds of people who want to erase our Maryland history.
