There is something rather extraordinary about the frequent music and entertainment performances at the Claiborne Community Center. With a population of 156 residents, and far enough away from St. Michaels and its tourists to be considered out of range for potential audience members, Claiborne might not seem to be ideal venue for these special, determinedly offbeat, offerings throughout the year.
But then again, this is Claiborne, with its well- earned reputation of doing things their way. And when performers come to town with Renaissance period entertainment, the community gathers almost by instinct.
In this Spycam moment, that town habit was very much in evidence as Busy Graham, Director of Carpe Diem Arts (sponsor of the evening) introduced the Nicolo Whimsey Show last night.
