On Wednesday, July 17, the 9th Annual Plein Air–Easton! Competition & Arts Festival hosted a Volunteer Appreciation Dinner. The dinner celebrated the strong support that has made Plein Air–Easton! the premier plein air festival in the country. Event volunteers, host families, Avalon Foundation staff, members of the Plein Air–Easton! Steering Committee, and Plein Air–Easton! competition artists were among those gathered to socialize and partake of a delicious BBQ-style meal served by the Tidewater Inn. Pictured are Avalon Foundation Executive Direction Al Bond and Operations Manager Jessica Rogers (in front of window) as they recognized the more than 200 volunteers who are the backbone of this event’s phenomenal success. Many volunteers return year after year. Avalon Foundation Events Manager Colleen Brighton says, “It takes an army to put this event together. Luckily for us, we have the troops to not only make it happen, but to grow and succeed year after year.” For more information and volunteering, please contact Plein Air–Easton! volunteer coordinator Ron Engle at [email protected] or the Plein Air–Easton! Hotline at 410.822.7297.
