The Rotary Club of Easton’s “Flags for Heroes” committee is gearing up for the Club’s third annual event to be held over Memorial Day Weekend. This event serves as a fundraiser for Easton Rotary’s Youth and Community Fund as well as for various veteran and hero-related organizations within the local community.
The “Flags for Heroes” event provides members of the local community with an opportunity to honor their personal heroes including family members, friends, veterans, active members of the armed forces, teachers, firefighters, police officers or any other individuals who have made a positive impact on their lives. American flags, which stand at 8’ tall, are still available for $50.00 each in honor or in memory of personal heroes. Over Memorial Day weekend all sponsored flags will be displayed at multiple locations in the Easton area including the Talbot County Community Center, Idlewild Park and the Talbot County Court House. The deadline for flag sponsorships is May 16th.
