Democratic Central Committee Announces Expansion Plans

July 30, 2014 by QAC Democratic Central Committee

Share

The Queen Anne’s County Democratic State Central Committee is currently accepting resumes to fill two vacancies for men. Further, in a historic resolution adopted unanimously at its July meeting, the Committee is also preparing to enlarge the Central Committee to better represent the diversity of interests in the county and promote the Democratic agendas and candidates.

Committee Chair Elaine McNeil stated: “Serving on the Central Committee is an interesting and enriching experience. As our by-laws provide, the function of the Committee is ‘to work toward increased citizen participation in political and governmental affairs’ and to ‘promote voter registration, regardless of party affiliation, and rational discussion and open debate of issues’. We want to significantly increase the number of Committee members who can take part in these important, rewarding activities.”

To apply for any of these a positions on the Central Committee, one must be a current registered Democratic voter in the state of Maryland, a resident of Queen Anne’s County and at least 18 years old. No previous political experience is required.

Resumes for consideration should be addressed to Elaine F. McNeil, Chair, Queen Anne’s County, at [email protected] or PO Box 101 Centreville, MD. The deadline for applications is August 15, 2014.

Interviews will be held on Wednesday 19th August. Applicants will be notified of the location and their specific interview times.

For questions or concerns please contact Elaine McNeil at 410 758 2850 or [email protected]
