Four Eastern Shore women artists, with strong yet diverse backgrounds and styles, will exhibit a unique collection of works at the Tilghman Island Inn from September 8 through September 27.
There will be a reception on Sunday, September 11 from 3-5pm.
The beautiful Tilghman Island Inn is located on the other side of the Tilghman draw bridge, right on Coopertown Road and then right into the Inn parking lot.
The show highlights the contemporary viewpoints of featured artists: Sandy Alanko, Karen Miles, Sharon Mills and Jacquelyn Pfaff-Pratt.
Sandy Alanko specializes in paintings of salt marshes, boats, watermen, and wildlife that surround her Tilgman Island home and Salt
Marsh Studio. She works in watercolor, acrylic, pastel and oil, depending on the visual effect she is trying to render. Sandy has a master’s degree in fine art, studied Renaissance art in Florence, Italy, and taught art in public and private schools for over thirty years. She shows and sells her work locally, regionally and internationally. She is a member of the St. Michaels Art League and a signature member of the Baltimore Watercolor Society
