Out Of the Fire Restaurant presents “Abundant Bounty” – an art exhibit featuring paintings by American Artist Janet Taylor Pickett opening April 7th.
Taylor Pickett’s works include gorgeous colorful paintings of botanical images and dresses as metaphor for identity. Her work explores power, beauty and women’s role on the planet to heal. A portion of proceeds from the sale of Taylor Pickett’s paintings will support the Academy Art Museum’s outreach programs.
VOTLO Couture (Vessel Of Things Less Ordinary), a clothing label founded by Kathy Imlay, has turned Taylor Pickett’s artwork into beautiful scarves and garments – unique, wearable art.
VOTLO uses art to bring hope for a better world and support girls to become educated and empowered.
Each product is a vessel for transformation, funding education for girls in D.R. Congo; proceeds from each garment sold funds a semester of school for a girl, offering hope for a brighter future.
The show will open with a reception from 1:00pm – 4:00 pm on Sunday April 7th, at Out of the Fire Restaurant, and will continue through May.
The garments will be featured at Easton retailers Lizzy Dee, M. Randall and Co. and Miranda’s.
