Agent 86 reported to management recently that he had flown to Maine to escape the heat and humidity on the Eastern Shore (and perhaps as an escape from the high-pressure work environment at the Spy). 86 chose Rockland as his venue because he knew that Chris Brownawell, a former director of the Academy Art Museum, had gone there in 2010 as CEO of the Farnsworth Art Museum and remains there today, 15 years later.
86 thought that if Rockland had set well with Brownawell, perhaps he also would find the area appealing. In any event, 86 wanted to view the extensive Wyeth collection at the Farnsworth. 86′ video surveillance follows. Prominent in the video is the Maine Lobster Festival. 86 made very clear that he wouldn’t return to Mid-Shore until the Festival had concluded.

Ed: what was goin’ on at the Farnsworth ? Where did you stay ? Where did you eat ? How’d you get there ? If this is all too private and you choose to respond, do so please, via my email. I’m interested because for about ten years I had a great job for wonderful people that would take me there for about a week each month and to the RKD area but only very rarely “in season” or in summer. I loved it though the Winter yet when it was a really cold or a blizzard, I was very OK because I knew I’d be able to come home and back to MD. I was in the habit of flying into to RKD via Boston and that was a treat. Re the Farnsworth: I did not know Mr. Brownawell when he was here except to wave or nod so I did not feel comfy looking him up while in RKD. I would however comb the museum for any N.C. Wyeth hanging and always go through the Louise Nevelson displays but always thought they needed a little attention.. maybe just a dusting. THANK YOU
