Pianist, vocalist, musicologist and humorist – John Eaton is one of America’s true musical treasures. He’s performed everywhere from smoky jazz clubs to a command performance in the East Room of the White House, from the Kool Jazz Festival to the Smithsonian’s Performing Jazz Series. And he will perform at the Avalon Theatre in Easton on Saturday, January 28.
Easton has appeared as a soloist with such legendary artists as Zoot Sims, Benny Carter, and Wild Bill Davison. His concerts include selections from the vast repertoire of American popular song and jazz, including music by Cole Porter, George Gershwin Fats Waller, Hoagy Carmichael, and Duke Ellington. Mr. Eaton’s keen insight, immaculate musicianship, and extraordinary talent at the piano continue earning him the highest accolades from music critics, listeners, and fellow musicians alike.
