On Thursday, September 27, Trish Bosley of Bosley Apparel will host a party and book signing with Keith Bellows from the National Geographic.
Keith Bellows is bringing 50 copies of his new book, 100 Places That Will Change Your Child’s Life. Keith Bellows was named Senior Vice President and Editor-in-Chief of National Geographic Travel Media in June 2012. He is also Editor-in-Chief of National Geographic Traveler, a position he has held since January 1998. He has written for Esquire, Sports Illustrated, Parenting, AARP, and many other magazines. He also wrote The Canuck Book and the 1998 Winter Olympics ACCESS Guide for ABC-TV. His 100 Places That Will Change Your Child’s Life, is part of a program he is developing to encourage parents, corporations and schools to view travel as a critical learning tool. The book will be published next spring.
100% of the proceeds from the sales of Keith Bellows’ book will go to the Carpe Diem Arts Outreach Fund c/o Mid-Shore Community Foundation — in support of arts programming in our Talbot County schools and under-served communities.
(Due to the overwhelming response, National Geographic has sent 25 more books to be sold. 50% of the purchase price of these (and any more) will be donated.)
GINA’S MEXICAN TAVERN is donating an assortment of dips, chips and selections from their marvelous menu.
EASTERN SHORE BREWING is providing beer from their micro-brewery in St. Michaels. They are pulling pints from 2 of their favorite beers. The pints are $5 each — with a portion going to Carpe Diem.
Wine and non-alcoholic drinks also available.
NOTE: If you are unable to join us on Thursday, please consider making a contribution on-line or by mail to help bridge the gap this year in funds needed to bring cultural and educational enrichment programs into our schools — to include a broad range of artistic disciplines and traditions of music, dance, theatre, storytelling, along with visual arts activities and writing workshops, as well as the much-acclaimed First Strings program.
