Bountiful, Jamie Merida Interiors Hosted Grand Opening Celebration at New Building

September 30, 2019 by Spy Desk

The Bountiful Interiors family of brands celebrated the grand opening of its new store and design studio located at 803 Goldsborough in Easton on September 20th. In addition to celebrating its new location, Bountiful marked its 20th anniversary in Easton. The event also served as a fundraiser to support Channel Marker, Inc. with 20% of the evening’s sales donated to the organization.

The event was well attended by more than 300 customers, vendors, friends, and family. Hors d’oeuvres were catered by Turnbridge Talbot, the new bakery and café that will open within the Bountiful building in October. Turnbridge Talbot Chef Steve Konopelski also created a Bountiful-themed cake in the company’s signature blue and white to celebrate the occasion.

Ribbon Cutting

“It was so exciting to celebrate this milestone with the community that has been so supportive of us,” said Jamie Merida, owner of Bountiful. “We feel so fortunate to have such loyal customers and design clients who have enabled us to grow a business doing work that we truly love.”

The grand opening was attended by several local dignitaries, including Senator Addie Eckhardt, Delegate Johnny Mautz, and Maryland Department of Commerce representative Nancy LaJoice, all of whom presented Bountiful with citations. Easton Mayor Robert C. Willey and Councilman Al Silverstein, President of the Talbot County Chamber of Commerce, also attended. The Talbot County Chamber of Commerce provided a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the official grand opening.

Channel Marker, Inc. was represented by several staff and board members at the event. “We loved having the opportunity to talk with so many people about our mission to provide mental health and wellness support for youth and adults suffering from severe mental illness,” said Debbye Jackson, Executive Director. “We’re grateful to Jamie and the entire Bountiful team for their support.”

Bountiful Team

The new building is home to the company’s complete family of brands, including Bountiful Home, Bountiful Flooring, and Jamie Merida Interiors. Bountiful acquired the 16,000 square foot building in 2018 and has undertaken extensive renovations to convert it to a retail store and design studio.

“The new building provides us with so much more space, which we desperately needed,” said Merida. “It gives us room to continue to grow and add designers, and we are so excited about what the future holds for us in our new home!”

Additional information and photos from the event can be found on the company’s Facebook page and Instagram accounts. To learn more about the Bountiful family of brands, please visit JamieMerida.com or call 410.819.8666.
