The Tidewater Camera Club is sponsoring wildlife photographer, Ken Conger, who will present a seminar entitled “Alaskan Wildlife and Landscapes” on Monday, January 2, from 7-9 pm in the Wye Oak Room at the Talbot County Community Center, Rte. 50, Easton, MD.
As a retired game warden, Ken has carried his motivation and enthusiasm for wildlife protection over to his passion of wildlife photography. Has has attained both a Bachelors of Science degree in Wildlife Management and a Masters of Science degree in Administration of Justice. Ken’s interest in photography began at a young age and wildlife photography has always been his concentration. His photographs are only of wild animals, primarily captured within National Parks and Fish & Wildlife Refuges. The majority of the images utilize available early morning and late afternoon light to capture the natural color and beauty of the wildlife. An award-winning photographer (National Wildlife Federation, National Parks Competition, Sony International Photography Contest), Ken’s images have adorned a number of magazine covers and calendars. After retiring as a conservation officer, Ken spent the 2009 and 2010 summers as a seasonal park ranger in Denali National Park, Alaska. For this evening’s program, Ken will feature a diversity of dynamic wildlife (moose, lynx, musk ox, polar bears) and stunning landscape images (Mt. McKinley, ANWR, 10,000 Smokes, Northern Lights) captured during his two seasons in Alaska.
