Christmas in St. Michaels’ financial chairman, Linda Seemans, recently presented checks to the Bay Hundred non-profit organizations selected as beneficiaries of the December 2013 fund-raising event.
She presented checks to representatives of the following organizations: Character Counts Mid Shore, Inc., Critchlow Adkins Children’s Centers – St. Michaels Site, Phillips Wharf Environmental Center, St. Luke’s School, St. Michaels Community Center, St. Michaels Museum at St. Mary’s Square, Talbot County Department of Parks and Recreation – Bay Hundred Pool, and Tilghman Area Youth Association. Mid-Shore Community Band, St. Michaels Community Food Pantry and St. Michaels High School After Prom were also 2013 beneficiaries and received their checks separately.
Bev Pratt, Christmas in St. Michaels Board president, said, “Being able to provide financial support to these community organizations is possible because of the tremendous amount of hard work by everyone involved in carrying out the Christmas in St. Michaels event.”
Seemans announced that this year’s event had raised nearly $80,000. She said, “We’re very grateful that the community gives such great support to Christmas in St. Michaels each year so that we can continue to help these worthy organizations in the Bay Hundred area.”
This year, Christmas in St. Michaels will take place on December 12, 13 and 14, 2014.
