While no library could have predicted something as devastating as a coronavirus crisis, it is accurate to say that the Talbot County Free Library had already implemented several changes over many years that made the TCFL much more prepared than most organizations to transition into a virtual environment.
An early pioneer with online books and other e-tools to serve library patrons who were not able to visit their physical locations, the Free Library had at their disposal a rich infrastructure to keep operating from the very beginning of COVID-19. While they are adding to this impressive variety of services, the TCFL is very much open for business.
The Spy talked to library director Dana Newman for an update.
