Easton Library to Screen “How to Train Your Dragon”
On Monday, July 14, at 1:00 p.m., the Easton branch of the Talbot County Free Library will offer a free screening of the Academy Award-nominated film “How to Train Your Dragon.” Released in 2010, the film is rated PG. Beale Street Puppets to Perform at Easton Library
On Tuesday, July 15, at 10:30 a.m., in the Easton branch of the Talbot County Free Library, the Beale Street Puppets of Baltimore will put on a free show for children of all ages entitled, “Out of Orbit with the Beale Street Puppets.” This performance is supported with funds from the Talbot County Arts Council. Library to Offer GSK ™ Science in the Summer: Physical Science
On Wednesday, July 16, and again on Thursday, July 17, from 10:00 a.m.-noon (for scientists entering grades 2 & 3) and from 2:00-4:00 p.m. (for scientists entering grades 4-6), the Easton branch of the Talbot County Free Library will offer a program directed by Kim Johnson entitled “GSK ™ Science in the Summer: Physical Science.” This program is sponsored by Glaxo Smith Kline and the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Eastern Shore Writers to Give Readings at Easton Library
On Monday, July 14, at 6:30 p.m., in the Easton branch of the Talbot County Free Library, the following five Eastern Shore writers will give brief readings from their work:
Bill Gibbons is a published newspaper columnist, political cartoonist, novelist, and short story writer. His work is informed by his childhood on a farm on Maryland’s Eastern Shore and his mixed Scots-Irish and Native American ancestry.
Bill Gourgey is a technologist, venture capital advisor, and former Accenture managing partner who now writes fiction and poetry full time.
Judy Reveal is the author of the Lindsey Gale Mystery Series, as well as a freelance editor who provides copyediting services for authors of fiction, nonfiction, and essays. She has won awards for two of her short stories and many of her stories have been published in local, regional, and national magazines.
Jerry Sweeney is a retired New York magazine executive who writes literary fiction. “Wizard Ho!” is his sixth novel and the fifth in “The Columbiad” series (which follows a single family through the 20th Century).
