A fire that gutted the Fast Stop Food Store and Shell service station at Routes 50 and 309 Monday was an accidental fire that started in the grease fryers and
quickly overcame the kitchen hood ventilation system igniting the walls and roof trusses, the state Fire Marshal’s Office reported today. No one was injured in the fire.
