Friends of The Talbot County Library announces two new culinary sponsors for their unique and fun event: Mabel’s Bakery and Chick-fil-A. The Gala will be held on Friday, January 31, 2014, from 5:30 to 8 pm., at the Easton branch.

Other local culinary sponsors include: The Art of Cooking, Bartlett Pear Inn, Bistro St. Michaels, Flying Fork Caterers, Garden and Garnish, Gina’s Cafe, Hill’s Soda Fountain and Cafe, Jo Jo’s Cupcakes, Latitude 38 Bistro & Spirits, The Miles River Yacht Club, The Old Brick Inn, Olvins, and Town & County Wine and Liquors.
Guests will enjoy hor d’oeuvres with Julia Child, perhaps receive a door prize from Shakespeare or Mark Twain, and maybe chat with the likes of other famous authors such as Edgar Allan Poe, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Ernest Hemingway, Oscar Wilde, and Agatha Christie.
Friends of the Talbot County Free library sponsor the Brown Bag Lunch Speaker programs at both St. Michaels and Easton branches, funds programs for children, purchases computers and software, books and CDS, and supports “On the Shelf,” the Library’s monthly program on MCTV.
