At the request of several Talbot Spy readers, the newspaper editor asked and received documentation from the Talbot Integrity Project (TIP) that they had submitted its application by the IRS as a 501(c)4 organization. This allows TIP to legally contribute to political candidates; federal, state, or local.

Those questioning TIP’s organizational status simply are showing their fear of having the truth about the Lakeside story being told. This is a typical Trump-like last minute scare strategy. TIP has the supporters of pro runaway-uncontrolled development candidates, especially those from Trappe, worried.
