In the spirit of Crosby, Stills and Nash comes folk music Super-Group, Red Horse to the Avalon Theatre in Easton on June 3.
Eliza Gilkyson, John Gorka and Lucy Kaplansky come together on this brand-new collaborative project. Inspiring and paving the road for countless musicians and songwriters touring today, having these three talents converge on one record and on The Avalon stage is an acoustic fan’s dream scenario. Red Horse, the super-group’s brand new album, showcases new material from all three, covers songs they have never recorded, as well as re-arrangements of a couple of early classics.
While Kaplansky and Gorka have played in Easton previously, the legendary Gilkyson’s appearance makes the evening super special. Like Johnny Cash or Pete Seeger, the very timbre of her voice will make you a fan for life. www.redhouserecords.com
