The Talbot County Free Library in Easton in conjunction with the Eastern Shore Writers Association is holding an “Open Mic” presentation for ESWA poets on May 29th at 6:30pm. The public is invited to attend a night of poetry reading offered by talented local poets, who will present excerpts from their work. Light refreshments will be served.
A famous quote attributed to Plutarch: “Painting is silent poetry, and poetry is painting that speaks.”
ESWA board member Nancy Marie Seaman says “Attendees will marvel at the quality and diversity of the graphic verse read by our authors.”
The Eastern Shore Writers Association boasts nearly 250 members across Delmarva, with the highest concentration in Talbot County. “That’s why we’re so pleased to hold our event here,” says Seaman.
The organization also publishes the Delmarva Review, manages the Bay-to-Ocean Writers Conference and sponsors a series of spring writing workshops in Easton. Information at www.easternshorewriters.org.
