Come see the traditional art of painting wood to look like natural grain. For centuries, people painted cheaper woods, such as pine, to look like more expensive ones, such as mahogany. Frank Bittner will demonstrate how it is still done today.
Bittner is the artist in residence at the Historical Society from April 9 through April 13, 2012.
