An informative evening, “Living with Type One Diabetes:How Research and JDRF Can Make a Positive Impact on Your Life or the life of your child” is scheduled for Thursday, October 22nd from 5-7 PM at the Easton Village Clubhouse, 7979 Easton Village Drive in Easton, MD. Easton Village is located off St. Michaels Road (Rte. 33).
JDRF, formerly known as Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, is the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. JDRF’s mission is to find a cure for T1D and its complications through the support of research.
The evening will feature speakers and information on JDRF outreach programs, for both children and adults, that can assist those with T1D in their daily lives. A portion of the evening will also update the audience on the latest research findings. This is the second annual JDRF Eastern Shore event that Barbara and Marshall Weingarden are hosting.
Reservations are requested as space is limited. There is no charge to attend and the purpose of the event is informative, not to raise funds. Light refreshments and beverages will be served. Dress request is business casual. While parents and family of children with T1D are encouraged to attend, the evening is for adults only.
