Kent Chamber Music presents its first concert of the 2012-2013 season with a debut performance by the Annapolis Chamber Players. On Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 7 p.m, the ensemble will perform an inspiring program of works by Beethoven, Damase and Debussy at St. Paul’s Parish Kent.
Annapolis Chamber Players specializes in mixed chamber music for winds, strings, and piano. Its diverse instrumental colors and flexible instrumentation offers a variety of musical colors and styles. Their eclectic programming draws from 18th through 21st century repertoire making programs unique. During the performance, the musicians provide verbal program notes with anecdotal information to enhance our listening experience.
Annapolis Chamber Players is composed of some of the finest Baltimore-Washington, DC area musicians. Its core members have been collaborating for more than 15 years. Phyllis Crossen-Richardson is the ensemble’s artistic director and clarinetist. Other members include Gail Vehslage, flute; Jonathan Richards, violin; Elizabeth Meszaros, cello; and David Ballena, piano.
The concert will be held at St. Paul’s Parish, Kent, 7579 Sandy Bottom Road, Chestertown, at 7 pm. Tickets may be purchased at the door for $15. If you prefer, a $60 six-concert series subscription may also be purchased at the door.
